Creativity Challenge 27
The Challenge here is to use your creative talent to bring light into the current distress in the world around you, in whatever form that talent takes. Please remember that we are reaching out to a world that is facing upheaval and possibly a great number of changes. Let us reach out to that world and bring it the lessons we have learned by becoming artists and writers. You may use images, photos, music, poetry, prose, short story fiction, personal essay, or whatever suits you best. I will post one word a day, adding a few of my own thoughts about the word. The rest is up to you. You may post as many times as you like, and may use old or new pieces, as you choose. When you have finished creating your post, return here and leave the URL in the comments section below. Then post it to whatever social media you are involved with. If you are not connected to some form of social media, consider joining one now. If not, say so when you post, and I will attempt to post it on mine, which is Facebook.
Word for Today
Laughter
The sound of laughing. An expression of humor, or amusement. Thought we got a bit heavy yesterday, and as has often happened over these past weeks, a means of clearing the air has presented itself in this word. I believe laughter is good medicine, some of the very best. It’s sound can lift a spirit, and lighten a soul. Your task for today is to express some form of humor, whether from the past, or something you see as funny in today’s world. I, in no way, mean to make light of the current situation, but only to lighten the mood that seems to be overtaking everyone and everything. I have been asking you to nurture a world in distress. But, we also must nurture our own essence as well. Think of the companion in any tale of The Heroic Journey. He/she is usually the one who mumbles something so outlandish in the middle of the struggle, that everyone laughs or smiles, even in that darkest moment of entering battle. Ron Weasley plays that role in Harry Potter, only to name one. There are many others you might explore and even use in today’s assignment. Find some bit of laughter and share it with all of us. Thank you.
