Creativity Challenge 11
The Challenge here is to use your creative talent to bring light into the current distress in the world around you, in whatever form that talent takes. Please remember that we are reaching out to a world that is facing upheaval and possibly a great number of changes. Let us reach out to that world and bring it the lessons we have learned by becoming artists and writers. You may use images, photos, music, poetry, prose, short story fiction, personal essay, or whatever suits you best. I will post one word a day, adding a few of my own thoughts about the word. The rest is up to you. You may post as many times as you like, and may use old or new pieces, as you choose. When you have finished creating your post, return here and leave the URL in the comments section below. Then post it to whatever social media you are involved with. If you are not connected to some form of social media, consider joining one now. If not, say so when you post, and I will attempt to post it on mine, which is Facebook.
Word for Today
Writer/Artist
That one who lays down words, or images, who breathes out, from the inside. That one who observes, takes it all in, and then, shows us how it felt, how it looked, even how it smelled and tasted. I’d like you to find one word to define what you have been observing. Then expand on that word and show us those responses that inform your senses, as the writer/artist you are. We are moving toward the personal here. If that makes you too uncomfortable, or feels too subjective, try being completely objective with what you write, or portray with images. I want to see what you see, and feel what you feel.

Sigh. I am having a hard time finding the “light” we are supposed to be injecting into this exercise. So I am stuck with writing how I feel……..I trust my hope will renew, given time. My best hope: that the donald will somehow not get elected. I deeply admire Bernie Sanders, whose fight is not diminished, he is working harder than ever to keep people from falling into despair.

Suggestion, Sherry? Dig out some quotes from Bernie and use them as an epigram to your writing. That might help those down feelings. I’ve done that many times.

I, too, am in a downer. Perhaps I can write myself out? http://susanspoetry.blogspot.com/2016/12/who-is-thief-who-stole-our-time.html
