For NaPoWriMo: Day2
undefined, book, lines, fear, gift, secret
Okay, we’ve broken silence. I believe that any time we write, be that a poem, prose, essay, or even a shopping list, we are telling some small piece of our story. Today’s challenge is to write about something we have never written about before: a secret, a childhood fear, something avoided or purposely ignored. Something we have left unwritten.
Music is inspiration.
This is a journey and we’ve already taken the first step.

Happy to see the prompt this morning, Elizabeth. I have a start on something, but am visiting Thyra in DC. Perhaps I’ll leave it sit for now, and get back to it this evening. We are off to see some cherry blossoms soon. 🙂
Oh, cherry blossoms. Take a ton of pictures and then perhaps you could let me play with a few (hint,hint)? Hope you don’t mind, but I’m planning to incorporate the Whirl words for tomorrow. I don’t want to skip an entire month of them, so hope I’m not stepping on anyone’s toes. Let me know if I am, please. Take whatever time you need, it’s so good to see you writing again.

It’s fine to use the Whirl words. Not a big deal at all, but a good idea. I’m also providing 6 word Wednesdays. Maybe I’ll use your six words, if that’s okay?
As my family continues to sleep, and it is raining outside, I put off our journey to the National Mall. We’ll head out after lunch. It gave me the opportunity to finish my poem for today. When I get pictures, you will be more than welcome to manipulate them. I love what you create.

Hello — just got off work. I saw the words early this morning and they were dancing in my head all morning. Finally got them to slow down long enough to fall into place.
I’m sorry I didn’t get around to visiting/reading yesterday. Internet is out at my apartment so I rely on my phone. Or going–with my laptop–to wherever there’s wi-fi. Or, like now, before I leave work for the day. I hope to read later. Meanwhile — Day #2 is in the books. 🙂
Thanks Paula. We’ve all been through the computer down glitches at one time or another. I was there a year ago when we got hit with lightning. I did NaPo from my daughter’s computer. Not fun, but we deal the best we can. Glad for the honesty and courage in your poem. Although we miss your comments, we do understand.
