NaPoWriMo Prompt 1: Day 1

NaPoWriMo Prompt #1: Day 1-April 1, 2014

canto

This list of words will remain up for three days. You may use any number or all of them as you wish on each of the coming days. You are free to use any form or poetic devise you choose. The list will change on Day 4. You may post your URL for that day’s poem in the comment section below. Please visit other participants.

A few tips:

1. Keep a dictionary and thesaurus handy. I’ve found a lot of inspiration in secondary and contrasting definitions.

2. Read through the list slowly several times and allow your mind to show you associations attached to the words themselves.

3. Some of you might write to music, so on occasion, I will post a piece of music that might further your efforts.

Today’s list was taken from a poem that may be found here:

Canto

I wish you the best and happy poeming.

Should be fun to come back to the list with different contexts. This one is also for Poetic Asides’ Beginnings prompt

Hi Elizabeth, I used two of the words in my piece. I had rhyme in my head this morning, not so sure why. Thanks for providing the site and the words. Happy poeming to all!

I hope it’s okay to join in — I noticed your words on Brenda’s post. I combined some with the napowrimo prompt (myth) : http://aewpoetry.wordpress.com/2014/04/02/object-so-perceived/
