Heat of day
brings need
of respite
found in cool blue
of evening
sky and water.

  1. The relief of cool evenings after daytime heat – I love the photo of sky and water, so well portrayed in your mandala. Lovely, kiddo.

Thank you my friend, this one was easy to write, especially when I found the picture in my files. We’ve had a severe weather alert for heat this entire week. Not supposed to cool down until Friday. I’m staying inside.

Oh for some heat! Love the cool water though and beautiful blues.

The photo was taken last week when my granddaughter was here and we drove to the park at the shoreline. I am resisting going outside this week because it is really hot and humid. I’m glad I took the picture, I needed it today. Thanks Libby,

Oh, Elizabeth, your poem speaks reams. We hit 102 today. I like summer, but…I am ready for some relief and some rain.

It’s the wee hours of morning and I thought I heard thunder and started to relax. I was wrong. Someone playing with early morning fireworks. We all need a respite. Stay cool, my friend,
