For A River of Stones: One Daily Observation

Shared roots
may make a firm,
strong foundation,
but might also
create a leaning
toward a singular
sort of path,
one that can be claimed
as ones own.

Although the three tree trunks share a root system, each one leans away, seeking space for itself and its own fruition. I think families can work the same way. The strong roots allow for a certain level of individuality to also develop. And that also applies to groups and communities. We writers, here online, share roots that give us strength and courage to be ourselves, it is support that encourages further growth.
Hope that helps,

Thanks Earlybird, I have found this adventure one of the most rewarding ones so far. I think the photo speaks to many facets of life and states of being.
