Doe with Fawn

Female deer
is symbol
of gentleness,
especially
when directed
toward
self.

Elizabeth Crawford  7/10/11

Notes: This photo, although blurred and perhaps considered a mistake by others, speaks to me more clearly of the essence of the symbolism attached to this quiet gentle creature. The soft focus seems to look a bit like a painting, rather than a hurried snapshot. The rest of this series of photos, of the doe and her fawns, far more clearly delineated, may be found here:

Susannah, I keep coming back to look at this photo. It captivates me, wraps me in a soft gentle feeling, as though she is speaking directly to me, to my soul. Did not imagine I could feel that way about a photo. It’s deliciously wonderful,
