For A River of Stones: One Daily Observation

A certain wildness,
unwillingness
to abide
behind established
fences,
can bring surprising
beauty
to an otherwise
cultivated
existence.

Oh Elizabeth, I love this! For SO many reasons and on SO many levels.
You have really struck a chord within me with this and triggered a little leap of joy inside, as I feel you have put your finger (very succintly) on something that is vital for ‘aliveness’ and ‘creativity.’
I have read it three times and each time it makes me smile.
Yes, yes, yes. 😉

Secret, Susannah, I feel the same way each time I look at it and read. It’s like a hug. Really glad you “got it.” And thanks for saying so,

Yes, the roundness of being! Unwilling to abide.

Annell, thank you. Am loving this challenge I gave to myself, looking at my photos, and sometimes realizing why my eye was drawn to certain things and not others. Yes, it all comes round.

Oh this is so true. I love nature when it is wild and untamed, as you know…..same goes for people! Your photo is beautiful – is it your yard?

Thanks Sherry, you were one of the people who crossed my mind while writing it. No, my yard is pretty small and simple. This is my sister’s front courner and this array is actually three times as large as what you see here. I just used the one with the fence for obvious reasons.
