Mandala Stone #23

There are those
who speak
of a sense
of hollowness,
feeling of numbness
at center
core
of being.
Can spend lifetime
trying to find
what is missing.

Feelings
are not facts,
neither
good nor bad,
but rather,
a barometer
seeking movement,
action to dispel
or change
whatever
conditions
prevail.

Seeking
to be present
in each moment,
conscious awareness
can become life
bursting
to be lived,
gathering frayed ends,
reconnecting loose threads.

  1. This mandala is extremely beautiful. It is fascinating to watch the various designs day after day. Beautiful poem, Elizabeth. Yes, being present in each moment. That is the goal.

  2. I like the idea that feelings are a barometer… but they can be scary, if only one could remember, they are just a barometer. As women we rely on our feelings… and things can change.
