Mandala Stone #11

Awakening

Heavy sweet scent
of Jasmine
permeates room,
nourishing senses
’til now held asleep,
lulled by preconceived
notions.

Aroused, senses seek
golden dream
buried deep in memory.
Must reach through
haze
as thick,
as rich,
as caramel.

I have read that it is a heavy permeating scent so it made sense to use it in that manner. This piece was written using the names of the colors I used when filling in the design. The words started whispering almost as soon as I started working on it.

I’m so glad I found the digital art programs. All of my Mandalas have stark white backgrounds because I couldn’t find a way to give them another. Now all it takes is a click of the mouse. They certainly feel for more finished.

Thanks Tilly Bud, for following along,

      Elizabeth
